My name is Lex van Velzen. I am a licensed post-master marriage and family therapist.
I took my post academic training in accordance with the demands of the specialist psychotherapy association Nederlandse Vereniging voor Relatie- en Gezinstherapie, the NVRG (Dutch Association for Marriage and Family Therapy), including several years of supervision and learning therapy.

Experience

I have over 35-years experience in the ambulant care and the clinical care in the welfare and mental health care sector. Beside anxiety disorders and mood disorders, I was mainly engaged in trauma related problems and autism related problems with adults in the past years.

As a therapist I think it is quite important to be close to people and be an engaged conductor of the session. As a therapist you direct the conversation, this way you create a clear and safe surroundings for your clients.
